The easiest way to start eating healthier is to keep it simple. Make a few attainable goals. Eating right doesn’t have to be this overwhelming mammoth of an idea! With my next few posts I will share simple steps I use to keep my own family on the right track.
Baby Step #1: Find your motivation
Why do you want to eat better? For an immediate health issue? General well-being? More energy? Lose weight? Pregnancy/children?
My personal motivation was my children. As a child, my parents demonstrated healthy eating practices. I want to do the same for my kids. I feel great and have to believe that eating better as a kid plays a part. Teaching my kids healthy practices now will help give them good routines for a healthy lifestyle as adults. Plus, added bonus! I want to prevent future health issues for myself. I can’t help anybody if I don’t take care of myself as well!
Sometimes I wonder why does it matter what I eat or what I put into my body? Sometimes I stray a bit from healthy eating. When I remember my why I get motivated to shift back to where my body needs me to be.
What’s your personal motivation?
